Absolutely wonderful time in Tanzania

My mom and I had an absolutely wonderful time in Tanzania!! I think our guide Daniel, did a great job of putting us right in the middle of all the action. Daniel somehow knew exactly where the animals were going, so we were always one of the first cars on the scene and we often had hunting lions and cheetahs walk right in front of our vehicle! He was extremely knowledgeable about all the animal, bird, and plant life and was eager to share this knowledge with us.

The accommodations in Tanzania were as expected. The Wilderness Safari Camp was very nice, though my mom had a little bit of difficulty adjusting to the bathroom (she’s not exactly a “camping” kind of person), but she managed since the staff was very helpful. The other two lodges were as expected and more comfortable for my mom than the Safari Camp. She very much liked the Ngorongoro Farm House — it was very clean and the service was great. Food was fantastic everywhere. I also highly recommend the balloon safari — it’s very interesting to see the Serengeti from a different perspective, although it appeared that the animals were afraid of the balloon and/or the noise, so that was a bit of a bummer.
