This part of the site is split into various regions, countries and locations - use the map of Africa below to select a country and access more information about that area. Each country is split up into key locations, and has a "More About..." section that describes main attractions, activities, travel advice and information about the status of that territory. Each national park or region of specific interest has a detailed write-up designed to give you an idea of what to expect and whether we have any recommended safaris going through that area.

And finally, several pointers on where you might want to get started! If scenery is your thing, Namibia is definitely the place to go - check out the Sossusvlei in particular. Good animal sightings are guaranteed in Botswana (especially the Okavango) and Kenya's wildlife is world-renowned. Zambia is fantastic for traditional safaris, particularly walking - it also benefits from being near the African adrenaline capital, Victoria Falls, which doubles as the best gateway to the rest of Southern Africa for those not interested in throwing themselves off a bridge or down the world's best whitewater rafting river, the Mighty Zambezi!
