Tsavo East, Tsavo West and Amboseli - 4 nights/5 days in Kenya
This safari discovers the twin National Parks of Tsavo East and West which together form one of Africa’s largest wilderness reserves, over 10 million acres. Tsavo East boasts the world's longest lava flow whilst Tsavo West proudly protects Mzima Springs with its underwater hides. This is a wonderful opportunity for observing hippos swimming in the spring's crystal clear waters. The safari also includes Amboseli famed for its elephant population and wonderful views of Mt Kilimanjaro.
Tsavo can easily be reached by road from Mombasa, making it the perfect destination for combining with a beach holiday to the Kenyan Coast.
Price is per person and includes all arrangements starting and ending in Mombasa. Longer trips can be arranged.
Where is it?
Tsavo East and West National Parks together with the Chyulu Hills form the Greater Tsavo National Park. The park is 240 km's south east of Nairobi on the Nairobi to Mombasa road and is 200km's north of Mombasa. Amboseli borders onto Tsavo West.
The parks' host Africa's big five amongst many other mammals including oryx, gerunuk, Coke's hartebeest, impala, zebra and Masai giraffe.
What is the best time of year to go?
Its possible to visit the parks year round but you'll see different species at different times of the year in varying sizes of herds. Rainy season is April/May and late Nov to end of December.
How to get there
By road from Mombasa and the price includes transport and exclusive use of a safari minivan as well as the services of an experienced English speaking driver/guide.
