Muchenje Lodge, Chobe National Park, Botswana

Muchenje Lodge, Chobe National Park, Botswana

The owner run and managed Muchenje Lodge is situated in the west of Chobe National Park on an escarpment overlooking the Chobe River and with a spectacular view over vast plains. As the lodge is situated in the Chobe Forest Reserve night drives and walks are possible.

The main dining area includes a bar, viewing platforms and decks and a small gift shop. The swimming pool provides a tranquil place in the heat of the day and takes full advantage of the views.

Each of the 11 twin-bedded en-suite rooms are comfortably furnished with the emphasis on African decor and include mosquito nets and fans. Twin basins, showers with day long hot water and flushing loos complete the bathroom facilities. From the balcony is a lovely view over the escarpment and down into the valley below.

Waterberry Lodge, Victoria Falls, Zambia

Waterberry Lodge, Victoria Falls, Zambia

Situated on the banks of the Zambezi River just 30 minutes from Livingstone, Waterberry Zambezi lodge is a small, friendly, informal lodge set in a mopane woodland with gorgeous views across the river into the Zambezi National Park.

Just 7 brick and thatch rondavel style cottages are dotted amongst the shady trees and sweeping lawns; all rooms have either a river view or look over the small, private lake. Enjoy birding, reading or just relaxing from the private decks attached to each room.

The large terrace, floating sun deck, upstairs viewing lounge and central lounge/bar area are loved by guests for their relaxed, informal ambience. A full range of activities including a Tour of the Falls, sundowner cruises, fishing and game drives are just a few of the activities available from the lodge.

Motswiri Camp

Motswiri Camp

Motswiri Camp is built close to the Selinda Spillway. The camp is small, traditional and concentrates on walking, horse riding and game viewing by canoe or fishing activities. Due to its position near the water, game drives are usually quite short and mainly to see the big cats when they are around the camp. The area feels very much like the Okavango Delta but its unique and isolated position allows for complete privacy in camp and on all activities.

With just five tastefully decorated traditional safari rooms, all en suite, personal attention is assured. The walks and rides are led by professional safari guides, very experienced at riding and walking in the bush with wild animals.
