A fabulous 1 week safari at a very special price including a stay in a 4 star Victoria Falls Lodge including a sunset cruise, hide sit/walk and a guided tour of Victoria Falls. Having experienced the thrill of standing on the edge of the Falls you'll move on to stay for 3 nights in Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe's biggest and best known wildlife park and home of the Presidential herd of elephants.

The special rate applies to the green season 01 Nov to 15 Dec and 15 Jan to 31st May. The safari starts and ends in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe.

Where is it?

The powerful and majestic Zambezi River includes Victoria Falls, one of the 7 natural wonders of the world and a world heritage site. The Falls are twice the height of the Niagara Falls and one-and-a-half times the width. The Falls are found at the joining of 4 countries - Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana and Namibia although Zimbabwe has the lion's share of the view of the Falls.

Hwange National Park is on the north eastern border with Botswana and part of the same eco-system as Chobe National Park, well-known for extraordinarily large herds of elephants. 

What is the best time of year to go?

The best time to visit is year round. The winter months between June to September can be rather chilly at night bt days are clear, sunny and warm. The summer months November to March experience heavy rain storms, usually in the afternoons with hot, sunny weather otherwise.

How to get there

By air from Johannesburg, Lusaka or Harare. Zimbabwe has an impressive road infrastructure by African standards particularly between the major centres. Car hire is available but expensive. Many regional clients successfully self-drive into Victoria Falls via Zimbabwe, Zambia or Botswana.

The rail network is not extensive, serving Bulawayo and Victoria Falls best. The rail safaris between the two towns are very successful.
