Where is it?

Victoria Falls Safari Lodge is 4km from town and the Zimbabwe/Zambia border above the Zambezi river. 

• Located on the Zimbabwean side it's a 2 hour flight from Johannesburg, 1 hour from Harare. 
  
• Easy flights to and from Lusaka (Zambia) or Maun (Botswana). 
  
• Easy road connections from Namibia, Zambia and Botswana.

Situated on a west-facing ridge with views across into the Zambezi National Park this quiet spot is the ideal start or end to a wider-ranging safari into Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana or Namibia. 

There's no shortage of adventure activities in and around Victoria Falls itself - this is an ideal 3 night layover.

What is the best time of year to go?

Any time of the year.

The Southern Africa rainy season usually starts end of November and continues to around the end of March.

The Victoria Falls are at their lowest level around November/December and at their peak level in April/May. White water rafting is not available during very low or very high water levels.

It is difficult to photograph the Falls successfully at peak levels due to the amount of spray!

How to get there

Air connections are from Johannesburg, Lusaka or Harare. Road connections can be made through Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana or Namibia.

We will arrange and book your regional air connections as part of your package but they are not included in the price.

Tips and Notes

Extra activities can be included in the package deals such as white water rafting or an elephant ride or a lion encounter.

Other activities include a journey on the steam train across the historical Vic Falls bridge, canoe excursions above the Falls, Victorian carriage rides around the town of Livingstone, horse rides.
