Rates 2012: Zambia side full day high season US$155 pp; Zimbabwe side full day high season US$130 pp including US$10 park fee.
A selection of white water rafting options in Victoria Falls starting from half day to 5 day trips. Multi-day trips are only available on the Zimbabwe side of the river.
No previous experience is required and you don't need to be a proficient swimmer. At the beginning and at the end of the half, one and 2.5 day raft trip, you will need to negotiate a steep path out of the gorge. The walk out is 750 vertical feet up a gradient of 1 in 3, and a person of average fitness can manage this in about 20 minutes.
Where is it?
The Zambezi River below Victoria Falls in the river gorge before this great mass of water is tamed by the wide expanse of Lake Kariba.
What is the best time of year to go?
The most exciting time to white water raft is during the low level water period which is approximately mid-July to mid-February.

Pick up is from your accommodation in either Livingstone or Victoria Falls depending which side of the river you are staying.
Tips and Notes
On the full day low level trip, clients are given a lift out of the gorge at rapid 23.
