Special Interest Safaris in DRC (Congo)

Special Interest Safaris in DRC (Congo)

One of our greatest pleasures is arranging something special like a photographic safari to find African painted dogs or filming the rare and difficult to find shoebill.

To give you a better idea of the type of safari we'd term special interest, these are some of the trips we’ve planned recently:

  • Assisting and living with orphan chimpanzees’ on Ngamba Island in Uganda.
  • The Bat Migration Safari in Kasanka National Park, Zambia - an amazing convergence of millions of “straw-coloured fruit bats” as they descend upon Kasanka National Park to feed on the abundant seasonal fruits.
  • Trips to see the spectacular Namaqualand daisies in the Western Cape
  • Birding safaris to see the rare shoebill living in the Bangweulu Swamps or on Lake Edward. The pitacarthes in Gabon's Lope Forest and carmine bee eaters nesting in the South Luangwa Valley.

Funnily enough its not unusual for African born clients who've moved to other countries throughout the world, to contact us to arrange a trip to visit the place of their birth and other unusual spots which may be off the normal tourist circuits. It takes real knowledge of local routes and people to arrange these trips and we're the right people to do this especially in Zambia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Uganda and Kenya.
