Fredrik and Family in Mozambique
We have returned from a trip which was great. Here is some feedback:
– The flight up to Waterberg was excellent value. We flew in a nice twin engine plane to which we were whisked from the gate
– Marataba is spectacular enough to warrant the price
– Outlook Lodge is basic but adequate and the service is very personal (Francois drove us to a restaurant and stored things while we were in Mozambique)
– Marlin Lodge was a good choice. It is well managed by Archipelago veteran Peter and a strong team of South African (female) managers. Nicolene made the diving rewarding despite poor visibility. The way Marlin co-exists with the local community rather than being isolated from it is instructive
I wouldn’t say we are planning the next African venture just yet, but could you please up-date us on the development in Loango, Gabon.
