Zimbabwe Achievers Awards 2011
In recognition of our commitment to Zimbabwe, we’ve been nominated for the Zimbabwe Achievers Awards 2011 (under the Tourism category). Set to be a prestigious annual event, the awards have been introduced to recognise and raise the profile of Zimbabweans from all walks of life throughout the UK who have pushed the limits to raise the Zimbabwe flag high. We’re chuffed to say the least! And would really appreciate your support.
You can vote for us at www.zimachievers.com. Public voting ends on Friday 1st of April 2011.
On that note, we’re inviting travellers to rediscover Zimbabwe before the crowds do – it’s one of the hottest safari tickets around!
John has been out and about at various travel shows in London in the UK recently, spreading the word. We believe that real change is coming in Zimbabwe. By supporting the conservationists and safari operators themselves you’ll be directly contributing to wildlife preservation, keeping people in employment and experiencing some of Africa’s finest into the bargain.
Around 95 per cent of safari enthusiasts we’ve canvassed about Zimbabwe over the last decade were adamant about not visiting. But since 2009 when the media restrictions and travel advisories were lifted, we’ve witnessed a gradual swing in opinion. Now we’re seeing an increased interest, with around two thirds of guests attending John’s most recent presentations at the Adventure Travel Live and Destinations shows in London wanting to visit.
We’re keeping an eye on what happens with the forthcoming elections, but the time is ripe to rediscover Zimbabwe. Ask us about our Zimbabwe trips.
Wherever in the world you are, our Zambezi community is full of easy-going travel-minded friends who take their fun seriously. Come and join the adventure.
