Mozambique Beach Holidays
The Mozambique coastline offers Africa’s best beach holidays with warm, crystal clear waters, sandy beaches and far-flung islands
Mozambique’s beach holiday industry is young, fresh and firmly set on two clusters of island archipelagos off the south east African coastline.
Small beach lodges and private island getaways are the best choice for classic tropical island holidays. Mozambique offers better value than the Seychelles, is less developed than Zanzibar or Mauritius, easily combined with wildlife hot spots from June to October.
Exclusive island retreats of the Quirimbas Archipelago up north are best accessed from Dar es Salaam and combine perfectly with a traditional East African safari in Tanzania.
The Bazaruto Archipelago in the south is easy to get to from South Africa and combines simply with a Kruger National Park safari trip or ideally with the Victoria Falls hub for custom safaris in Zambia, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Namibia.
Wild habitats of Gorongosa and Niassa offer rare wilderness safaris for adventurous spirits but more productive and less expensive options are available from Johannesburg and Vic Falls.
