Lochinvar National Park

A former ranch, Lochinvar was designated a wildlife park in 1972 and is known for its Kafue lechwe and birdlife. Antelope thrive in the absence of large predators and this area is also home to hot springs, marvellous echoing rocks and caves, remnants of Iron Age villages and baobabs.
Habitats are a mixture of Zambezian and Mopane woodlands in the south, and Zambezian flooded grasslands throughout the rest of the park. It lies on the south side of the Kafue River and is very similar to the Blue Lagoon National Park on the northern flats.
At present there is one permanent camp for overnighting that offers walking, boating and game drives.
