from a minimum of two nights up to four nights on the
Ume River.

Welcome to Musango. The Classic Safari Camps on the Ume River, Matusadona, Zimbabwe.
|
The full trail links Maronga Tented Camp and Musango Safari Camp. The safari is led by a fully
qualified armed guide enabling clients to walk in safety in Matusadona National Park when game activity or
other interests invite a break from canoeing. The canoeing itself is done
in large Canadian style canoes which afford comfort, stability and safety
whilst exploring the game-rich channels, creeks and bays.
The camp is set up ahead on the trail by a three man back up crew which includes the chef. Clients are accommodated in large and luxurious two man safari tents with comfortable camp beds. Each tent is gauzed against mosquitoes and other insects. Hot and cold water is available with bucket showers and flush toilets. Meals, prepared in camp are taken under the stars or in the shade of a tree. The food is of a high standard comprising a full breakfast or brunch, lunch and three course dinners. Ice is always available to keep drinks cold and refreshing. Nothing other than a packed picnic lunch, a cool-box of drinks and personal items is carried in the canoes. The entire camp together with all luggage is taken ahead by the set up team. In keeping with Musango Safari Camps high standard of guiding the canoe guide is armed, is medically trained and equipped, and has radio communication with Musango Safari Camp plus other guides and the boats at all times. |
