Madagascar Travel advice downgraded - 25 February 2009
The advice issued by the British Foreign Office last month as per below, has been downgraded.
"We advise against all but essential travel to Madagascar. We strongly advise British nationals in Madagascar to avoid any political rallies, demonstrations or large gatherings and to monitor the situation in the local media".
Travel to Madagascar is insurable and the security situation has returned to normal levels in Madagascar.
Heads up - its an Easter special! - 12 February 2009
This offer is for accommodation only (children sharing, accompanied by adults, triples are accepted) in two tented luxury camps on the Serengeti and a paradise island off the coast of Mozambique.
The offer does not include flying doctors, park and community fees, flights, transfers, fly-camping, diving, fishing, spa activities at Vamizi Island and gratuities, items of a personal nature.

South African Presidential Elections - 11 February 2009
The governing African National Congress is expected to win the ballot, but its majority may be reduced as supporters follow a breakaway party set up after Thabo Mbeki was ousted from the presidency last year.
