Mobile Safaris

Here’s how to create your own adventure: take one of our mobile safaris or join us fly-camping in remote places

Mobile safaris take you back to adventures of old, long before permanent tented camps and luxurious – or not so luxurious – lodges became the norm. For purists who love to feel a connection with the bush yet still want some creature comforts, these offer the perfect solution; providing everything you need, but nothing you don’t, for a great African safari.

The most basic option includes no-frills fly-camping in simple dome tents, where you would be expected to join in with chores and cooking.

Some prefer a more comfortable option; fully equipped and supported by a driver/guide, chef and camp staff. Here you’ll enjoy walk-in, en suite tents furnished with camp beds and can dine under the stars or in a simple mess tent.

Moving on every couple of days, camp sites will be private and specially selected to make the most of the wildlife opportunities at the time, guaranteeing excellent sightings and solitude.

The beauty of mobile safaris is that they allow you to escape the crowds, even when you’ve spent the day on Serengeti game drives following the mesmerizing wildebeest migration alongside many other tourists. They also enable exploration of lesser-visited areas like Namibia’s remote deserts of Kaokoland, Damaraland and the eerie Skeleton Coast.
