Special interest safaris
Introducing our collection of special interest safaris. From cultural and historic World Heritage sites, to lemurs, gorillas and chimpanzees in far away places.
Most visitors come to Africa for a wildlife safari. But the world’s most exciting continent is as diverse as its large.
Our team have walked the rain forests and peered into rocky crevices. Spending time in a variety of places has helped us to create our collection of special interest safaris. So you see, there’s much more to Africa than big animals.
We visit the amazing landscapes of the Namibian deserts on the Hoanib Skeleton Coast Safari. Remote and unforgettable. This area is home to dramatic landscapes, shipwrecks and seal colonies.
Some of our favorite special interest safaris are our birding trips in Botswana, Uganda and Zimbabwe. We’re sure you’ll enjoy them as much as we do, whether your a seasoned birder or just starting out.
Ethiopia is truly unique and we’re offering you the opportunity to experience it! A rich tapestry of history, culture and incredible scenery. If you’re interested in Africa’s ancient culture you’ll be fascinated by the Omo Valley tribes. Our tour offers a rare glimpse into a way of life that is rapidly changing.
For the more intrepid traveler, the mysterious Congo provides the ultimate adventure. Track the endangered Western Lowland gorillas on our Odzala-Congo expedition.
Staying with the primate theme. We can also arrange mountain gorilla treks in Uganda and Rwanda, and you can track chimpanzees in Tanzania.
Sign up to our Lemurs and Wild Things to discover a collection of lemurs, plants and trees that are completely unique to this part of the world.
Look at the map
Face the map of Africa and look to the west. You’ll see the Sao Tome and Principe Islands. We’re giving you the unique opportunity to get involved in research projects with sea turtles.
Look the other way and head east. Come and join us as we sail down the beautiful Mozambique coastline on traditional dhows. Spend your days snorkeling and fishing in the Indian Ocean and meeting the locals.
Finally, the true test of a real African specialist is one who offers much more than a standard safari. So, we’re happy to tell you that we’ve passed the test!
