Where is it?

With some of the largest populations of wildlife and birds in Africa and the world, the Selous Game Reserve is also one of the continents biggest wilderness sanctuaries where some of its most remote areas can be reached only by fly-in safaris. The terrain is lush and verdant and Sand Rivers Selous enjoys a prime spot overlooking the Rufiji River, a great place to sit and sip sundowners whilst contemplating the following day's activities.
What is the best time of year to go?

The rainy season is late November to end of December and again in April/May. During these periods access around the park is restricted and fly-camping unpleasant!
How to get there

The safari starts and ends in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania.
