Linking the two areas are good roads and you'll have the chance to stop off and meet the delightful Malawian's, known as the most hospitable and friendly people in Africa.
What is the best time of year to go?
Rainy season is from end of November to end of March annually. Although the rainy season can be exceptionally wet, it is still possible to enjoy most activities as the rains are heavy and hard, lasting around an hour, with brilliant sun before and after.
The hottest time of the year is October/November; very hot days and warm nights make for the best game viewing conditions.
June and July is southern African winter - cool nights and warm days.
How to get there
The journey begins and ends at Lilongwe Airport. There are no direct flights from the northern hemisphere into Lilongwe but there are daily connections from South Africa, Zambia and Kenya.
