Where is it?
Mana Pools National Park, Lower Zambezi River, Zimbabwe
What is the best time of year to go?
These safaris are only available between 15th April to 15th November (dry season)
The safari departs on Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday
How to get there
To be able to canoe on the first day, guests are required to arrive into Mana airstrip no later than 11.30am. Commercial flights do not always fit in with these timings and you may choose to combine this safari with a night at our Camp Zambezi to ensure timely arrival.
Most guests fly into Mana Pools airstrip from Kariba however we can charter directly into Mana Pools from any destination in Zimbabwe or from Lusaka in Zambia.
Some choose to drive themselves into Mana Pools where they leave their vehicles at the Warden’s Office for the duration of the safari.
Tips and Notes
When combining this experience with another of our safari / camping options – we will move you to your next camp.
We also offer Mana Shoreline walking safaris camping at all the above mentioned sites.
As an alternative, for group bookings, we offer both Mana Shoreline Canoeing and Mana Shoreline Walking running simultaneously i.e. with up to 6 people on a Canoeing Safari and 6 people on a Walking Safari with everyone meeting up at sunset for drinks, dinner and over-nighting in the same sites and then after breakfast recommencing their separate Safaris.
Walks are dependant on animal and weather conditions at the time and there will be a back-up vehicle available if required or if clients do not want to walk the entire distance between camps.
Combine this safari with our Victoria Falls and Hwange National Park safari options
