DAILY ROUTINE

The transfer from the Kariba hotels to the Kariba Gorge is approximately 30 minutes followed by a short but fairly steep walk into the Gorge. Clients canoeing from the Zambian side need to clear customs and immigration, and the put in point is directly below the dam wall.

The group is led by a fully qualified river guide and an assistant who sets up camps and prepares meals. Canoeing parties start off early morning after tea/coffee and biscuits to make the most of the cool time of the day. Breakfast is taken around 08h30 and lunch is planned at approximately 13h00 under the shade of a tree. After a short rest through the midday heat canoeing continues arriving at camp early evening.

On day three, after a mornings canoeing, clients are transferred back to Kariba arriving at approximately 15h00.
