Overnight stops are taken at fully serviced camps. The Mukuyu Canoe Trail: A four day "backed-up" Canoe Safari through Mana Pools in Zimbabwe. The launch is from the Ruckomechi River and follows the Mana Pools shoreline down to Chikwenya. The Island Trail: A four day "participation" canoe safari on the Zambian side from the Kafue to Chongwe Rivers. The Kariba Gorge Trail: A three day "participation" safari between Kariba and Chirundu on either the Zimbabwean or Zambian sides. Walking Safaris are unquestionably the best way to experience the African bush. With its unique and prolific wildlife, the Zambezi Valley offers some of the finest walking wilderness areas in Africa. The prime locations are Matusadona and Mana Pools. Kayila Lodge: Situated on a private game sanctuary on the northern banks of the Zambezi River approximately 45 km downstream from Chirundu, opposite Mana Pools National Park. The Lodge has accommodation in stone-under-thatch chalets, a honeymoon suite and a treehouse. Mwambashi River Lodge: Situated in the heart of the relatively unexplored Lower Zambezi National Park. The Lodge is located on the northern banks of the Zambezi River, directly opposite the eastern boundary of Mana Pools National Park and Chikwenya Island. Guests are accommodated in large walk-in tents on wooden platforms.
