- Upper Zambezi Canoeing: Half to 3
day excursions are conducted on the 70km stretch of river above
Victoria Falls - here the river is regarded as "free-flow"
and subject to seasonal variation, small rapids are encountered. The
short excursions are run year round, the 3 day trip is run between
April and October only.
- White Water Rafting on the Zambezi
River below the Victoria Falls has been classified by the British
Canoe Union as Grade 5 - "extremely difficult, long and violent
rapids, steep gradients, big drops and pressure areas". This is a
high volume, pool-drop river - little exposed rock either in the
rapids or in the pools below the rapids. The Zambezi White Water
Rafting is internationally acclaimed as being the wildest in the
world.
- First White Water Rafting, and now the most intense white water
experience in the world: Zambezi
Riverboarding!
- Thorntree Lodge: Situated 15
kilometres upstream from Victoria Falls
on the northern banks of the Zambezi River, accommodates up to 14
clients in tent-under-thatch lodges.
- Mutemwa Lodge: Located in a remote
area on the banks of the Zambezi River in Barotseland, 250 km upstream
from Victoria Falls and 50 km north of Katima Mulilo. The camp
accommodates up to 12 clients in six twin-bedded "East
African" style safari tents built on a teak deck. Each tent has
en-suite facilities and a private deck overlooking the Zambezi River.
