New York's Adventure Travel Show - part 1 of 2

John and Rebecca

Rebecca Acosta from Traveler's Medical Service discussing traveller's needs to Zimbabwe.

Sean Upton pushing Africa for us

Sean Upton decided to take off his New York cap and come and join us on the other side of the table (Sean, if ever the financial center of the earth loses its grip on you then bale out and we'll find a good slot for you in the African bush - the pay's not so good, but hey the sun's warm and you'll get lots of leave!)

The Chilean contingent

Anita with the "Huasos", Carlos Bravo Pena and Ignacio Funes Cavagnaro in full regalia. Both engineering students earning some pocket money - Sunday found them broke and exhausted from a long New York party.

New York show

John getting into detail on maps of the Zambezi, Matusadona, Mana Pools and Victoria Falls with prospective safari-goers.

Craig with Huasos

Craig posing with the boys from Chile - hey, they didn't enjoy being referred to as gauchos....

The bear

A friendly bear decided to pose with us...a very friendly lady bear - we never got to learn her name or see her face...what a shame!

The Iceland gang

Vilborg and her gang from Iceland joined us from the Chicago show - the New York patrons had finished their "firewater" before we could lay claim to some "muti" for sore feet at the end of each day.

The Doctor at work...

Medical concerns are obviously quite an issue - the second of the medical advisors was hard at work - caught whilst his nurses were taking a smoke break outside in the cold.

Sean Upton still in action

Sean and Craig pushing the Zimbabwe flag and talking canoeing and walking safaris.

Ticket Planet

The Ticket Planet stand going strong as always...
