Zambezi Safari Testimonials
Like most good safari companies we have a long list of guests comments stretching back to the early 1990's when we first started to collect them. We've mounted only the comments from the past three years to the site but the list is still incredibly long to plough through.
Quite a number of our past guests are happy to be contacted by email or phone to chat about their experiences in Africa. If you're new to us and would like to chat to our past guests, drop us a line and we'll put you in contact with those who've given their permission.
We love your feedback especially the stories and photographs so please keep sending them through!
Honeymoon in Africa - by Ana Tunon
We have just arrived from Mauritius last Thursday and today, it's our second working day, so you can imagine that we're not very happy now;)
Our honeymoon was fantastic, we loved every moment of it; we loved South Africa, Zambia and Mauritius. We've never been in Africa before, and now we fell in love with it. We'll came back as soon as we can and I'm sure you will assist us again.
I must say, that the most beautiful part of our trip was the visit to Zambia, and it was surely because of the complete pack of activities that you recommended and reserved to us.
So, as you can see, we're really satisfied with your work. Thank you very much and if we return to Africa (I'm sure we will), we will contact with you.
Botswana and Zimbabwe Safari September 2010 - by Joe Mckenna
...We have been pining away for Zimbabwe since we arrived back in the United States.
First and foremost, I want to thank you and Jackie for suggesting and putting together such an incredible trip. We enjoyed every aspect of it immensely, and between walking in Hwange, experiencing game safaris in Chobe, and completing our 8 day canoe down the Zambezi, we really felt as if we experienced the wide variety of activities that we imagined. Without knowing us, you matched our desires to a tailor made holiday - that is no easy task, so thank you for listening and tolerating our endless questions.
Again, I want to stress the amazing vacation you designed for us. We are so very happy with your service and I would recommend you to anyone travelling in the area. I am already plotting my next vacation to Africa, as I am hoping to go Uganda and work my way South again next year.
Many, many thanks!
Zimbabwe Mana Pools canoe trail and safari September 2010 - by Damien Dupont
Just wanted to let you know that Ruckomechi and the Mana Canoe Trail were amazing. The MCT is for me simply the best safari experience. I am wondering what I will do next!
The transfer was excellent; the staff was so friendly and professional. It is said that Zimbabweans are the kindest people in Africa, I now believe it's true.
We were also very lucky in terms of sightseeings. We saw, for instance, Wild dogs killing a young baboon.
I am already thinking about visiting Zimbabwe and doing the MCT again, and I am thinking about combining Hwange and Mana.
Victoria Falls Big 5 Special September 2010 - by Daniel Seal
Feedback all very positive. We had a fantastic time, all the transfers and logistics went very smoothly which can make or break a trip like this. Victoria falls was exciting and beautiful all at the same time. The rafting was definitely a highlight – a rush a minute with some very testing rapids but at no point did we feel in any real danger or unsafe.
‘Little Mak’ was everything I’d hoped it would be and more. The staff there really deserve high praise, they went out of their way to look after us and, in my case particularly, made an important event go without a hitch. It was difficult for me to make the arrangements for the proposal as Bec was almost always with me but a quick word with Shayne at an opportune moment was all it took. Without further prompting from me they then arranged some wine in the hide and even a romantic meal for two by the swimming pool once the deal was done!
Our guides, Booley and Sibs also deserve a mention. They really made the excursions exciting, informative and fun – walking through the bush with lions roaring on both sides of you really tests your faith in people!
Zambia and Zimbabwe Safari September 2010 - by Dennis Anderson
You booked the perfect African Safari and the camps were placed in the best order. Each one surpassed the previous.
The Zambezi was fantastic. I suggest warning any new clients to practice climbing stairs, up and down. That was the hardest part of the rafting trip.
Mark, you can give out my phone number and email to any North Americans interested in your Safaris and in particular, worried about their safety from the African people.

Zimbabwe Safari November 2010 - by Jim Stewart
We thoroughly enjoyed the Zims leg of our journey - thanks. It all went really well and Little Makolo was superb. The Elephant ride was great the girls loved it and Enoch who was in charge of it, very kindly let us walk along with them.
With kind regards

Zambezi Classic canoe safari May 2010 - by Fiona Hemsley-Flint
We had a fantastic time, thanks!! We really enjoyed the canoe trip, and managed to avoid being capsized by hippos or eaten by crocs!
All the transfers and border crossings went smoothly and according to plan so thanks very much for organising it all.

Lower Zambezi canoe safari and Victoria Falls January 2010 - by Tana Wuliji
The canoe safari - was an incredible experience and the guides were wonderful. The whitewater rafting was brilliant, we really enjoyed it. Thanks for everything, the last minute shuffles and assistance was also much appreciated.

Zambezi Classic short canoe safari - April 2011 - by Paul & Debbie Sanders
Now that we're back we wanted to thank you for your advice and help in arranging our trip, and also to say how much we enjoyed it.
The guys at Natureways were superb - they were all so thoughtful, helpful - and extremely knowledgeable - which made it easy to trust their judgement in the occasional dodgy situations that arose, the most of interesting of which was when a 5 metre croc actually tried to take out one of our guides' canoes! It clamped it's jaws around the back of Cloud's canoe, in full view of us only 5 feet away, but it's teeth couldn't grip the smooth tapered back of the canoe, so there were just a set of teeth marks to record the event!
Cloud and Nyenge were a pleasure to be with, and Nyenge, despite a severely inflamed and swollen hand caused by a poisonous thorn on day 2, never complained once and insisted that we carry on for the full 8 days before seeking treatment - which eventually involved some serious lancing and draining.
It was an awesome trip and exactly what he had hoped and planned for.
At Chitake, we were blown away by the fact they had set up the entire camp for just 2 x of us! I'm sure you already know how amazing it is there, but we were spellbound by the beauty and the wildlife, and Elijah, Bono and Mark were as professional, helpful and knowledgeable as Cloud and Nyenge. The real trick that all these guys managed to achieve was to always be around - but without ever being intrusive - and nothing was ever too much trouble.
All the complicated cross-country transfers worked like clockwork, in a country where lots of things don't always work, and despite many, many hours bouncing along rutted dirt roads the journeys always seeemed good fun.
I would unreservedly recommend anyone looking for this type of holiday to do what we did and use Zambezi Safari and Travel and Natureways guides.
Thank you again Mark.
With kind regards,
Paul & Debbie
Victoria Falls Safari Lodge - April 2011 - by Jeff Gay
Hey there Mark.
I had an outstanding trip. I was very impressed by all elements of the vacation that you put together, the hotel, the activities and all the staff members in between.
I really liked the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge quite a lot. The restaurant's food was top notch, and I loved the restaurant and bar's view over the watering hole. The pool was also one of my favorites.
The day trip to Chobe in Botswana was probably the highlight of my stay. All of the staff members made the transfers over the border and to the different elements of the trip exceptional. The others on my tour that day were pretty dull, but that's certainly beyond anyone's control.
I will be sure to keep your information handy to pass on to others who might be traveling to the region.
Wonderful holiday in Zimbabwe and Zambia... - by Richard and Natasha
Thanks for the email. We had a fantastic holiday which went very smoothly and much too fast.
Waterberry Lodge in Zambia was a lovely place to start - very relaxing, professionally run and a beautiful spot. I really enjoyed the rafting with SafPar - a very professional operation and truly a day to remember!
We also loved Ivory Lodge, Hwange, Zimbabwe. We stayed in one of the new rooms which was very well decked out. If you're booking for other guests I'd recommend trying for one of these ones. It's worth noting that it was under (excellent) temporary management while we were there with a new management couple starting within a few weeks. Hopefully, they will maintain the same high standards!
Hopefully, we can get back there one day...
